Our story

Who we are. What we do.

We love compelling stories

Nina Vinther Andersen leads the Academy of Stories – or Talerakademiet, as it’s called in Danish. She is the author of the book ‘The art of speaking, so everyone listens – a practical and scientific guide to storytelling.’

While receiving intensive presentation training in the United States, she learned the compelling American storytelling tradition more rarely used in Denmark, where the Academy of Stories is based. Today, Nina Vinther Andersen has trained hundreds of people in storytelling and presentation techniques, from CEOs to students, so they have gone from good to better presenters.

The Academy of Stories’ workshops are evidence-based, backed by 25 years of experience with storytelling techniques.

Nina Vinther Andersen holds a master’s degree in Political Science and a degree in Journalism. She has worked as head of PR at Deloitte, been an external lecturer at the University of Roskilde, and taught at the Danish School of Journalism. Before starting The Academy of Stories, she produced TV and radio documentaries and news programs for the Danish Broadcast Company and TV2 and worked for national newspapers.

The team

The academy of stories teams up with journalist Hanne Mølby Henriksen, stage instructor and tv host trainer Mia Hesselberg-Thomsen, and Head of HR and Communication, Henrik Skovdal on various workshops and events.
